In 1984, the Brazilian explorer Amyr Klink sets out to become the first person to cross the South Atlantic in a rowboat. He charts a course from the coast of Namibia to Brazil and begins a hundred day voyage, facing sharks, storms, whales, and his own mind in the endless horizon. To find the strength to keep moving forward, Amyr turns to his past, searching the depths of memories until the adventure across an ocean becomes a quest for who he is.
