Synopsis

After a nine-year hiatus, during which he fled his native Russia into exile, Andrey Zvyagintsev (The Return, TIFF ’03, Leviathan, TIFF ’14) returns with a reworking of Claude Chabrol's La femme infidèle, adapted to his homeland's current rhetoric of patriarchy and warmongering.
