
We hear no end of pessimistic forecasts about the documentary industry. And yet films are still getting made and breaking through to audiences. We’ll hear from three figures with deep experience in the North American marketplace: CAA sales agent Amanda Lebow, who’s representing two World Premieres in TIFF Docs: Cheyenne and Bleeding Hearts; Kino Lorber president Richard Lorber, whose recent theatrical docs include the Oscar-winning Mr Nobody Against Putin and the summer arthouse hit Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World; and Michael Tuckman, who’s had great recent success with the theatrical booking of the Oscar-winning No Other Land and the sleeper hit Secret Mall Apartment.
