The Ankler’s Prestige Junkie with Los Javis

The Ankler’s awards editor Katey Rich returns to the TIFF stage for a live taping of her Prestige Junkie podcast, welcoming the winners of the Best Director prize at Cannes, Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi — the filmmaking duo known popularly as Los Javis — to discuss their remarkable new film, La Bola Negra.

They’ll join Katey to discuss the journey behind their epic, decades-spanning story of love, desire, and identity, bringing together breakout talent and screen legends: Spanish pop star Guitarricadelafuente, Élite star Miguel Bernardeau, newcomers Milo Quifes and Carlos González, Emmy-nominated director, writer, and actor Julio Torres, two-time Goya winner Lola Dueñas, and screen icons Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close.
