Zombucha!

Maddie and Leo are an aspirational millennial couple who desperately want to start a family but barely see each other. On the same disastrous day, Leo quits his ritzy ad agency and Maddie accidentally poisons actor Gabe McClaren on the set of a zombie movie, leaving them both unemployed. At the farmers market they encounter Kai, a smouldering kombucha artisan raking in the cash. Hoping to revive both their relationship and their finances, they steal his prized SCOBY and launch Thirsty Virgin Kombucha, boosted by some “borrowed” herbs from a mysterious neighbour’s garden. The drink becomes an overnight success until the culture develops a squirming life of its own. When Gabe’s body turns up in their garage, Maddie and Leo realise they have unleashed something deadly. With their relationship collapsing, they must confront the monster they created and stop a full-blown zombie apocalypse.
